Overview

The NCT65 is a low power temperature monitor housed in an MSOP-8 package. It monitors the temperature of a remote thermal diode. The resulting temperature is then compared with fixed /THERM limits (70°C and 85°C) and if the resulting temperature is greater than these limits, the open-drain /THERM1 and /THERM2 pins are asserted. To prevent constant assertion and deassertion of the /THERM outputs the NCT65 has 5°C of hysteresis. The NCT65 supply range is 2.8 V to 3.6 V and features low supply current making it suitable for portable applications.
